Hussein Guzuyev, chairman of the State TV and Radio Broadcasting company of Chechen Republic, was killed on 26 November 1994 near the press building in Grozny during a shoot-out between the opposition and forces supporting Djokhar Dudayev.
Guzuyev studied at the theatrical institute in Moscow under Maria Knebel. “When it all began Guzuyev was shot down on the street ... He certainly had done no one any harm,“ Nikolai Zhegin, Teatralnaya zhizn (20 July 2003).
