The newspaper Pravda Severa reported on February 3 that a journalist had been killed in Arkhangelsk. Yefim Sukhanov, a journalist with the television company TVTs-Arkhangelsk, was killed in his apartment on February. The 27-year-old journalist died of stab wounds.

The journalist's body was found by his colleagues, who came to visit him after he had not come to work and had not taken any phone calls for several days. There were no signs that the apartment was broken into and there were no traces of a fight either.

The investigators do not know yet if the murder is connected to the journalist's professional activities.
