STABBED TO DEATH (16 January 2011)

Roman Nikiforov, an editor with the Red Media company received fatal stab wounds during a fight on a street not far from the Ostankino television centre in north Moscow. The police, summoned by witnesses of the brawl, found 25-year-old Nikiforov’s dead.

The Red Media holding creates and distributes specialised channels for satellite and cable television and, claims its website, is one of the largest producers of such channels throughout Russia and the former Soviet Union.
